During his MBA, the founder of ValueText did an internship at a company using bulk messaging for its sales. That’s where he discovered how SMS texting works, how organizations can benefit from it, and what’s the role of network providers in this process. Also, it became clear that in order for the company to expand its business globally, it needed to use a powerful CRM system and integrate messaging into the CRM.
After the MBA, he continued his career in the Salesforce ecosystem working on large projects from different industries. Starting from the technical roles of a Salesforce Developer and a Salesforce Architect, he continued into customer-facing roles working directly with the executives and department heads of customers to solve their business problems and transform them into intuitive software solutions.
Most of these customers were facing the same problem - the open rate for emails sent by sales was lower than 10%. And it became very clear that using SMS or social messaging apps like WhatsApp would drastically increase open rates.
After searching for messaging apps for Salesforce on AppExchange, none of them offered such advanced functionality and intuitive interface. He quit his full-time job in order to develop the app with superior features that are still easy to use. ValueText was the first app that supported WhatsApp integration for Salesforce, more than a year before other competitors released it.
